Delfin Amazon Cruises Unveils Enriched Experiences
On and Off the Water

Pre- and Post-Sailing Programming with Exclusive Amazonian Leisurewear Collection and New Immersive Activities in the Heart of the Peruvian Amazon

Iquitos, Peru, (June 23, 2025): Delfin Amazon Cruises, the pioneer in luxury river expeditions in the Upper Peruvian Amazon, is setting a new standard for meaningful travel with the debut of thoughtfully curated pre- and post-sailing offerings. These additions mark a bold step toward deepening guest immersion, from personal style to cultural connection, just on the heels of the reimagined Delfin I returning to the Amazon River.

PRE-SAILING: FASHION MEETS THE AMAZON

Introducing Nauta, Delfin’s first-ever leisurewear collection, developed by fashion designer Giuliana Macchiavello, daughter of Delfin’s founders and a lifelong explorer of the region. Rooted in the rich biodiversity and textures of the rainforest, the collection celebrates her upbringing in the heart of the Amazon and brings to life its rhythms and colors. From sunrise excursions to sunset dinners onboard, each piece is designed for comfort, elegance, and function. Crafted in breathable cottons and SPF50 fabrics, the silhouettes reflect the spirit of slow, conscious travel.

“I wanted each piece to feel like a wearable memory of the Amazon—peaceful, grounded, and alive with color,” says Macchiavello.

Drawing on a palette inspired by jungle greens, earth tones, and pastel sunsets, the collection isn’t just a fashion statement, it’s a call to sustainability and preservation. Giuliana envisions future collaborations with local artisans to tell even deeper stories through design, celebrating the people and places that have inspired her journey. Guests will soon be able to shop NAUTA styles online to pack or bring a piece of the Amazon into your everyday life, wherever you are.

POST-SAILING: SUPPORTING WILDLIFE CONSERVATION

As Delfin Amazon Cruises evolves to reflect its deep commitment to conservation and community, two meaningful new post-sailing experiences have been introduced, offering guests an intimate way to conclude their Amazon journey. After disembarking, guests can now extend their Amazonian immersion through two new post-cruise experiences:

Amazon Research Center of Ornamental Fishes (ARCOF)

On the final day en route to the airport, travelers will visit ARCOF, a beautifully curated research space dedicated to the region’s spectacular aquatic biodiversity. Home to over 60 species of Amazonian fish, including the massive paiche, colorful ornamentals, and electric fish, this immersive experience offers an eye-opening perspective into the river’s complex ecosystem. Beyond observation, guests engage in thoughtful education about the behaviors, interdependence, and ecological significance of these aquatic marvels.

Meliponas Stingless Bees Center

In a quiet moment of reflection and connection, all Delfin I and Delfin III programs now include a visit to the Meliponas Stingless Bees Center. These gentle, stingless bees, native to the Amazon, play a critical role in pollination and rainforest regeneration. Delfin’s ongoing initiative donates Meliponas hives to local families, supporting biodiversity and community well-being. Guests witness this powerful harmony between people, pollinators, and the forest, and leave with a deeper understanding of nature’s quiet resilience.
Seamlessly integrated into the journey’s conclusion, both experiences underscore Delfin’s dedication to offering responsible, authentic travel that uplifts both place and people.

THE NEXT CHAPTER: THE RELAUNCH OF DELFIN I

These experiential expansions come on the heels of the relaunch of the iconic Delfin I, Delfin’s flagship vessel, now reimagined for a new generation of conscious explorers. Reintroduced in April 2025, the Delfin I features refreshed interiors, elevated dining concepts, and curated onboard programming, continuing its legacy as the most intimate and luxurious cruise experience on the Amazon River.

About Delfin Amazon Cruises:

Delfin Amazon Cruises was launched in early 2006 by its founder and CEO, Aldo Macchiavello. The company is the culmination of a dream shared with his wife, Lissy Urteaga, to run a boutique travel business that should showcase the natural beauty of their country, Peru. Delfin Amazon Cruises sets the highest standards for impeccable 5-star hospitality, authentic Peruvian design, and superb local cuisine. The Delfin I, II, and III effortlessly combine comfort and grace with the breathtaking wilderness setting of the Amazon. Each vessel thrives in harmony with nature and their panoramic suites and terraces offer guests a special “non-cruise” atmosphere with the opportunity to explore one of the world’s most pristine environments. Deep in the Peruvian Amazon, the boutique luxury vessels take guests on three and four-night itineraries into one of the world’s largest protected flooded forests, the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Experienced naturalist guides and experts showcase the immense biodiversity of the area with excursions and activities that include visits to local villages, kayaking, swimming near pink river dolphins, fishing, daytime hiking, and night safaris.
