Cashel Palace Hotel Among the First Hotels to
Achieve Michelin Key Status in Great Britain & Ireland
Cashel Palace Joins 37 other Hotels in Great Britain & Ireland to receive Two Michelin Keys
Cashel, Ireland (October 1st, 2024): Cashel Palace, the luxurious five-star property located in the heart of County Tipperary, Ireland, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the inaugural recipients of the prestigious Michelin Key in Great Britain and Ireland. The Cashel Palace Hotel joins 37 other Hotels in Great Britain and Ireland to receive Two Michelin Keys for ‘Exceptional Stays.’ The MICHELIN Guide's introduction of the Key symbolizes a new standard of excellence in the hospitality industry, recognizing hotels that embody the values of quality, service, and hospitality. With meticulous attention to detail, Cashel Palace has consistently provided unparalleled hospitality since opening its doors in March 2022, earning it a place among the finest establishments in the hospitality industry.
Set within a magnificent Palladian manor, built in 1732, Cashel Palace has been meticulously restored to create a desirable destination hotel in the heart of Ireland. The five-star property just two hours from Dublin epitomizes the finest of Irish hospitality set in the shadow of the iconic Rock of Cashel in Tipperary. Its owners, the Magnier Family, have been at the heart of Ireland’s rich tapestry of thoroughbred racing and breeding legacy for generations, with their world-renowned Coolmore Stud just mere miles from the hotel. This passion for all things equine is expressed throughout the property and passed onto guests through an exciting program of equestrian experiences. The Spa at Cashel Palace curates an exciting program of classes, retreats, and events throughout the year for guests and non-residents to enhance one’s personal wellbeing and mental health.
“We are thrilled to be among the first hotels in Great Britain and Ireland to be honoured with the Michelin Key,” shares General Manager Adriaan Bartels. “Being awarded two keys in the inaugural year is a recognition of our unwavering commitment to delivering first-class service and unforgettable experiences to our guests. The entire Cashel Palace family is thrilled and it is a very proud day for us all.”
As a member of Relais & Châteaux, Cashel Palace is committed to offering a luxury experience that remains deeply connected to the local community. Cashel Palace’s fine dining restaurant, The Bishop’s Buttery, was recently awarded its first Michelin Star, marking a significant milestone for the hotel’s culinary team just two years after its opening. The hotel collaborates closely with local artisans, food producers, and historians to provide guests with a unique insight into Tipperary’s heritage. With a deep connection to the Golden Vale and rich pastures surrounding the hotel, Director of Culinary Stephen Hayes provides an exciting culinary offering where food is a celebration – of life, of the land, of the locality. At the brand-new Sadler's Restaurant, located in the heart of the historic town of Fethard, guests can expect exquisite but casual dining. The restaurant pays homage to local racing history with motifs of local equine, including horseshoes from Ballydoyle, images adorning the walls from Coolmore Stud, and bridals of champion racehorses hanging. Menus at each of their dining establishments have been created to celebrate and serve outstanding contemporary Irish cuisine with three options: fine dining at The Bishop’s Buttery, Afternoon Tea in the Queen Anne Room, and a more casual offering at Mikey Ryan’s.
