JOSS KENT JOINS PELORUS BOARD
&Beyond Executive Chairman will assist with Strategic Vision and Expansion of the Travel Company
Austin, Texas (March 29, 2023): Experiential travel and yachting company Pelorus today announces that Joss Kent, &Beyond Executive Chairman and industry leader, has joined the Pelorus board and become a shareholder in the group. Joining the team this month, Joss will lend his extensive experience in growing global travel businesses, alongside expertise in conservation and logistics to the Pelorus team. His support will help guide the team to achieving its long term strategic vision while continuing the brand's innovative approach.
Born, raised, and schooled in Kenya, Joss Kent’s experience combines a deep understanding of Africa with a wealth of travel industry knowledge. As with Pelorus Co-Founders, Geordie Mackay-Lewis and Jimmy Carroll, Kent was trained at the Royal Military Academy (Sandhurst) and served as a lieutenant in the British armed forces before working as a business analyst on Wall Street and management consultant in London. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Working his way up through the travel industry from a professional safari guide right up to the position of global CEO of Abercrombie & Kent, he has planned logistics and led safari expeditions in Kenya, Tanzania, Zaire, and Egypt for personal clients such as Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter, and Gene Hackman. CEO of luxury experiential travel company &Beyond since 2012, and now also Executive Chairman, he spearheads the brand’s commitment to making a positive difference in the conservation of land, wildlife, and communities.
