The Art Collection at Casa di Langa, Italy's Newest Luxury Sustainable Hotel, Brings Museum Quality Art to the Piedmont Region

New York | Rome (May 19, 2021) Casa di Langa, a new sustainable luxury hotel, will open in June 2021 in the heart of northern Italy’s Piedmont region. Overlooking 100+ acres of working vineyards and rolling hills, the 39-room boutique property combines traditional Piedmontese design with sustainable practices. Thoughtfully threaded throughout the guest experience includes the Art Collection at Casa di Langa.

Art is a passion and key pillar to the guest experience at Casa di Langa and will be prominently displayed throughout the property provoking curiosity and enthusiasm. With an appreciation for the present and an eye towards the future, Casa di Langa's art collection is a curated selection of contemporary artists who influence the country's creative conversation with a modern take. Each of the 39 rooms and suites are hosts for this living art collection, and a walk around the estate will reveal paintings and sculptures in the hotel and amongst the natural beauty of the land.

The international museum-quality Contemporary artworks celebrate both established and mid-career artists, including notable artwork by Ugo Rondinone, Carla Accardi, and Enrico Castellani to name a few. Outdoors you will find sculptures by Alicja Kwade, Sean Scully and Fausto Melotti, among others.

"We’re excited for Casa di Langa to debut and host this thoughtfully curated collection of art, which celebrates some of our favorite Italian and American Contemporary artists, alongside works by notable international artists. Integrated organically into the hotel experience, we hope these pieces will delight our guests, spark conversation and unite them in our common passion for art.” Kyle Krause, Chairman and CEO, Krause Group

Enhancing the experience this fall will be a book available in each guest room that outlines the uniqueness of the collection and the artists. This collection of works inside the property will rotate every three to five years and the book will be updated to reflect this. The Art Collection at Casa di Langa will be available to guests of the hotel and Faula Ristorante to enjoy as they spend time at the property.

Artwork in Public Areas

The eighteen pieces of artwork displayed indoors in public areas will represent a curated selection of internationally significant artworks from the last half-century. Highlighting works by Italian artists, Casa di Langa provides a unique opportunity to elevate your experience of world-class art.

Artwork in Guestrooms

Guest rooms will mainly feature works by emerging or mid-career artists with a connection to Italy. Visitors will find approximately 80 pieces by mid-career artists and those with more established careers throughout the guest room suites.

Art Festival in Piedmont

Piedmont is also home to Artissima, the international contemporary art fair which is curated in conjunction with Torino’s Foundation for Museums. The annual affair attracts visitors from all over the world and features emerging artists and established pioneers of contemporary art, all of whom are chosen by a board of international curators and museum directors. Held annually in November, the fair draws upon the spirit of Torino’s contemporary art scene and is considered one of the most important local and international events of the season.
